FRENCH TOAST BAKE – Easy too!
Ingredients:

Melted butter (1 stick) | 1/2 cup |
Brown sugar | 1 cup |
Thickly sliced bread | 1 loaf |
Eggs | 4 |
Milk | 1 1/2 cups |
Vanilla | 1 teaspoon |
Powdered sugar (for sprinkling) | To taste |
Cinnamon (for sprinkling) | To taste |
Warm maple syrup | For serving |
Instructions:
- Melt the butter in the microwave and add brown sugar. Stir until mixed.
- Pour the butter and sugar mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan and spread it around.
- Beat the eggs, milk, and vanilla.
- Lay single slices of bread in the pan.
- Spoon half of the egg mixture over the bread layer.
- Sprinkle some cinnamon over the bread and eggs.
- Add a second layer of sliced bread.
- Spoon on the remaining egg mixture.
- Cover the pan and chill it in the fridge overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the French Toast Bake for 45 minutes, covered for the first 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon.
- Serve with warm maple syrup.
